News Tidbits – Premier Wynne has said that she will not raise the Ontario Provincial Sales Tax to fund infrastructure. AMO has estimated that municipal governments will face an annual shortfall of $4.9 billion in the next decade.

Canada is bidding on hosting 10 of the 80 World Cup matches in the joint North American bid for the 2026 World Cup. Nine stadiums have been proposed: McMahon Stadium (Calgary); Commonwealth Stadium (Edmonton); Olympic Stadium (Montreal); Saputo Stadium (Montreal); TD Place (Ottawa); Mosaic Stadium (Regina); Rogers Centre (Toronto); BMO Field (Toronto); and BC Place (Vancouver).
