Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics Ontario will be coming to Wawa on June 21st

The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Superior East Detachments and the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service (SSMPS) are pleased to announce that the Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics Ontario will be coming to Wawa.

With the support of community partners and the community itself, this initiative will assist and support the Special Olympics athletes.

The Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics is the movement’s largest grass-roots fundraiser and public awareness vehicle. Special Olympics Ontario provides sports training and competition for over 16,000 people with an intellectual disability.

On June 21st, the Torch Run will take place at 3 Chris Simon Drive and will begin at 10:00 a.m., and will conclude at 40 Broadway Avenue (Detachment Office/Wawa Municipal Offices).

All donations will be gratefully accepted and acknowledged. Local drop off points for donations include the Sault Ste. Marie Police Services Building at 580 Second Line East or the SE OPP Detachment – Wawa office at 40 Broadway Avenue.
