News Tidbits:

  • The Wawa Goose that greets travellers on Hwy 17 and welcomes them to Wawa changed appearance Saturday afternoon. The Goose is now wearing a necklace of sorts – a keychain clasp in advance of tomorrow’s launch of Petro-Canada’s Give A Honk campaign at 10:30 a.m.
  • The next telescope to peer into space launched yesterday. The Nancy Grace Roman Space Telescope will spend the next five- to 10-years mission will hopefully find answers about dark matter and dark energy, identify tens of thousands of exoplanets, and more. Equipped with a 300-megapixel infrared camera and an 8-foot mirror, Roman has the precision of the Hubble telescope but a field of view 100 times larger and can scan 1,000 times faster.
