Starting Friday, November 3, Wawa Baptist Church will be sponsoring a free two-hour monthly kids’ club on the first Friday of each month until May of 2018 at the Hillcrest Centre. The kids’ club will run from 6:30 until 8:30 p.m. Children between the age of 5 and 12 are welcome to attend our monthly kids’ SonWest Roundup to enjoy singing songs, crafts, snacks, and Bible stories. Please contact 705-852-0886 to preregister your child in advance.
On Sunday, November 12, after our 10:00 a.m. service at the Wawa Goose Seniors’ Drop-in Centre, the Wawa Baptist Church will host an Alzheimer’s Coffee Table Talk. Come for a coffee or tea at 11:00 a.m., and learn about symptoms of Alzheimer’s from Helga Moore. All are welcome to come to the service and/or a Alzheimer’s Coffee Table Talk.
Also on Sunday, November 12, at 6:30 p.m., the Wawa Baptist Church will begin hosting a monthly Praise Night at the Wawa Goose Seniors’ Drop-in Centre. All are welcome to a time of fellowship and singing songs.
Wawa Baptist has two on-going morning Bible studies at 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday mornings with separate Bible studies for the ladies and men in the community. If interested in participating in either of these Bible studies, please contact 705-852-0886 for the ladies’ Bible study, and 705-852-0903 for weekly locations. Also, an evening Bible study is available on Wednesdays at 7:00 p.m. To participate or to get more information, please contact 705-852-0903.
Everyone is welcome to come each Sunday to join us in prayer at 9:30 a.m., and engage in worship at 10:00 a.m. with songs of praise, and Scripture-based sermon. The new location has wheelchair accessibility. A nursery and Sunday school are available for children between 5 and 12 years of age. Dress is casual.
