On March 21, 2022, the East Algoma Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were called to an indecent act related occurrence on Mississauga Avenue in Elliot Lake.
The complainant reported that a male was in the laundry room of the apartment complex exposing himself. Police attended and recognized the male. After further investigation, police also learned the male was wanted from a previous break, enter and theft occurrence.
Cody EVERTON, 27 years-old, of Elliot Lake was arrested and charged with:
- Indecent Act – Public Place, contrary to section 173(1)(a) of the Criminal Code (CC)
- Break, Enter Dwelling House – Commit Indictable Offence, contrary to section 348(1)(b) of the CC
- Theft Under $5000, contrary to section 334(b) of the CC
The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Elliot Lake on May 3, 2022.
