Two new wildland fires were confirmed in the Northeast Region today:
- Sudbury 51 (SUD051) is 0.1 of a hectare and located approximately 1.8 kilomteres east of Lower White Oak Lake and 3 kilometres southwest of Millerd Lake. The fire is being held.
- Sudbury 52 (SUD052) is 0.1 of a hectare and located on the north side of Carafel Lake, approximately 2 kilometres west of Maskinonge Lake and 1.8 kilometres north of Little Long Lake. The fire is not under control.
There are currently 46 active wildland fires in the Northeast Region. Of these fires: 2 are not under control, 3 are being held, 3 are under control and 38 are being observed.
