The Sault Film Festival is opening a new Art House Cinema and Event Space called the SFF Creative Hub which is dedicated to supporting local artists through independent film screenings, networking events, socials, and other art-focused events.
Located at 40 Queen St. E, in the heart of downtown Sault Ste Marie, the SFF Creative Hub will promote the local art community, and showcase the blossoming film industry of Northern Ontario.
The Sault Film Festival board is very excited about this expansion. Parth Pandey, Festival Director, says “we are excited to bring a space to the Soo where we can celebrate cinema, support the local film industry, and connect with like-minded people.”
SFF Creative Hub will be hosting an Open House event on June 26th to showcase the updated space and introduce itself to the public. Doors open at 7 PM. The event will have drinks and snacks for sale. It is a time for all art-lovers and cinephiles to come together and celebrate this new and exciting chapter in Sault Film Festival history.
The space is also available to rent for private screenings, art shows, gatherings, etc. Details can be found at saultfilmfestival.com/creativehub.
After the Open House, the first public event to utilize the new space is the SFF Summer Camp program for teens aged 13+. Blown away by the positive response and high demand, the Sault Film Festival opened a second week. The camps are running July 6 to 10, and July 20 to 24. There are limited spots left!
