A drug trafficking investigation in the Township of Schreiber has concluded with one individual facing drug trafficking charges and illicit substances being removed from our streets.
On April 1, 2026, officers from the Nipigon Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU), with support from the Marathon CSCU, as well as officers from both Marathon and Schreiber OPP detachment executed a search warrant at a residence in Schreiber.
Police have seized suspected cocaine and crack cocaine estimated street value of $7000.00, a pellet handgun as well as estimated Canadian currency of $15,000 to $20,000 which is believed to be proceeds of crime.
Charles OLIVE, 57 – years from Schreiber, Ontario has been arrested and charged with the following criminal offences:
- Produce a Scheduled I Substance – Cocaine
- Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine
- Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime over $5000 – in Canada
The accused has been held pending a bail hearing.
