East Algoma OPP – Arrest made after Traffic Stop

On July 17, 2025, the East Algoma Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) arrested a person during a traffic stop on Mississauga Avenue.

At approximately 2:25 a.m. police stopped the black car and recognized one of the passengers as being wanted. He was subsequently arrested and charged.

Thomas RENNER, 34-years-old, of Elliot Lake, was charged with:

• Failure to comply with Release Order – two counts
• Fail to comply with Probation Order

The accused was scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice Bail Court in Blind River on July 18, 2025.
