• Congratulations to defenceman Rylan Fellinger, he will be playing for the Toronto Maple Leafs! Rylan began his hockey career as a Wawa Traveller, then the Sault Thunderbirds, Flint Firebirds. Rylan was selected in the sixth round by the Toronto Maple Leafs.
• On June 30, 1987, the first Loonie was introduced. Two years later, on June 30, 1989, the final dollar bill was printed, phasing out paper dollars in favor of the new coinage.
