The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is on scene supporting the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry (MNRF) in relation to Parry Sound Fire 33 by ensuring public safety and assisting with evacuations.
The OPP is monitoring the smoke levels on Highway 69 and is reminding the public to slow down and turn on head and tail lights when traveling through smoky areas to increase visibility. Highway 69 remains open at this time.
