Wawa-news.com You can't hear the 'big picture'!
Last week, Calvary Pentecostal and Wawa Baptist Churches combined our efforts to invest into children’s lives of families of Wawa and the surrounding communities with a VBS program called SonRock 2018. We had a great group of kids and helpers, with a combined total of twenty-four children attending during the week. Held at the Lions’ Club, these children participated in our free morning program making crafts, singing songs, hearing Bible stories, learning about nature, and playing games. Fun was had by all!
We would like to thank all the parents who sent their children out to the program, all of the volunteers who worked tirelessly beforehand and during last week in preparing and delivering all of the decorations, snacks, crafts, games, and teaching opportunities for the children. We would especially like to thank the Lions’ Club for the use of the building, as well as the Brick, Home Hardware, Canadian Tire, and Mac’s Convenience Store for donations of supplies to our program.
