Flooding at the Base of the Chippewa River

Sault Ste. Marie Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was advised by the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry (MNRF) of flooding at the base of the Chippewa River.

OPP attended the area. There is no flooding on any roadway however several camps in the low lying area have been affected. Residence # 280 to #306 on Whispering Pines Road have been affected.

The MNRF, Batchewana Fire and Rescue and Goulais Fire and Rescue are monitoring the situation.
