Freezing rain warning in effect for:
- White River – Dubreuilville
- Chapleau – Missinaibi Lake
- Gogama – Foleyet
- Manitouwadge – Hornepayne
Freezing rain is expected to occur through this morning.
Patchy freezing rain is occurring in regions north of Superior and is expected to develop this morning for regions in Northeastern Ontario. Freezing rain is expected to continue for several hours before changing to rain by noon today.
This precipitation is the result of a low pressure system and warm front currently crossing Northern Ontario.
Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become icy and slippery. Take extra care when walking or driving in affected areas.
Freezing rain warnings are issued when rain falling in sub-zero temperatures creates ice build-up and icy surfaces.

Snow and freezing rain expected tonight and Friday morning.
Snow is expected to begin this evening. Total snowfall amounts of 5 to 10 cm are possible before the snow changes to freezing rain overnight. Freezing rain may continue for several hours before changing to rain Friday morning. Ice accretion and slippery conditions are possible with this event.
