Rain – Heavy at Times Expected

Special weather statement in effect for:

• Wawa – Pukaskwa Park
• White River – Dubreuilville

Rain at times heavy will begin this morning and continue into Friday morning. Rainfall amounts of 25 to 40 mm are expected from this event. Thunderstorms are also possible, and any location which receives multiple thunderstorms may receive higher rainfall amounts.

Environment and Climate Change Canada meteorologists are monitoring this situation and will issue further statements or rainfall warnings as required. Note that rainfall warnings are issued when 50 mm or more of rain are expected in 24 hours or less.
