==discussion==
Shower and thunderstorm activity has affected many portions of Northeastern Ontario yesterday evening and during the night. The activity should slowly diminish this morning.
However, another round of rain and possible thunderstorms is expected later today and tonight. This rain is expected to last until late in the day on Thursday. Rainfall amounts of 30 to 50 millimetres are likely, although some areas that see several thunderstorms may receive higher amounts.
At this point, it appears that the highest amounts are most likely for areas close to the Eastern shores of Lake Superior, especially tonight.
This statement will be updated as new information becomes available. Rainfall warnings may be issued later today.
