The Michipicoten Memorial Community Centre will once again be the hub for registration.
Nolinor Aviation’s Convair 580 has taken off again for Kashechewan, expecting to land after an hour’s flight. With 150 evacuees expected to arrive in Wawa, this aircraft may be returning in about two hours, or another aircraft may be assisting in bringing evacuees to Wawa.
At the request of the Ontario Government, the CAF has sent Canadian Rangers to Kashechewan First Nation to prepare for possible flooding.
