Hwy 17 OPEN (Wawa to Heyden)

Highway 17 from Wawa to Heyden has been reopened. It had been closed for 22 hours due to poor weather conditions.

 

 

 

At 7:30 p.m. Wawa-news confirmed that Hwy 17 is closed from Wawa to Heyden. With a confusing tweet from Ontario511, a short drive out to confirm the highway closure was done.

The Sault Ste. Marie Detachment of the OPP have closed Highway 17 between Highway 556 and Highway 563 due to deteriorating weather conditions.
