Special weather statement in effect for:

• Sault Ste. Marie – St. Joseph Island
• Searchmont – Montreal River Harbour – Batchawana Bay

Brief freezing rain tonight.

Precipitation from a large weather system may arrive in the form of some freezing rain tonight as temperatures hover near the zero degree mark. The freezing rain is expected to be quite brief before turning over to plain rain as temperatures rise above the zero degree mark by Tuesday morning.

Travel conditions may deteriorate tonight as untreated surfaces may become icy and slippery. Motorists and pedestrians should exercise caution.

Environment Canada is closely monitoring the situation.
