Two new wildland fires were confirmed in the Northeast Region today:
- North Bay 37 (NOR037) is 0.1 of a hectare and located approximately 5 kilometres southwest of Emerald Lake and 7 kilometres west of Highway 805. The fire is under control.
- Sudbury 61 (SUD061) was 0.1 of a hectare and located off the eastern shoreline of Round Lake, approximately 1 kilometre northwest of Wagon Trail and 2 kilometres south of Bolger Lake. The fire is now out.
There are currently 45 active wildland fires in the Northeast Region. Of these fires: 1 is not under control, 2 are being held, 4 are under control and 38 are being observed.
