Two new wildland fires were confirmed in the Northeast Region today:
- Cochrane 56 (COC056) was 0.1 of a hectare and located approximately 0.15 of a kilometre east of Highway 652 and 1.9 kilometres northwest of Mawibuha Lake. The fire is out.
- Sudbury 54 (SUD054) is 0.1 of a hectare and located 0.9 of a kilometre east of Landry Road and 4.25 kilometres north of Ratter Lake Road. The fire is under control.
There are currently 44 active wildland fires in the Northeast Region. Of these fires: 1 is not under control, 1 is being held, 4 are under control and 38 are being observed.
