News Tidbits:

• The Ontario Government and the Association of Ontario Midwives (AOM) have successfully ratified a new interim funding agreement starting April 1, 2024, including an investment of more than $15 million to increase compensation and help connect people to midwifery services
• April is Seatbelt Safety Month – MTO stats show that roughly one out of five vehicle occupants killed on Ontario’s roads are not wearing a seatbelt, despite Ontario having a 96% seatbelt usage rate. In the last full five-year period (2019-2023), the deaths of 296 people on OPP-patrolled roads have been attributed to not wearing a seatbelt.
