It is with great sadness the family announces the sudden passing of Victor at his cottage in Sault Ste. Marie on Thursday, January 15, 2009, at the age of 67 years. Victor, beloved husband and best friend of Joanne, loving father of Steven and Mick Grusys, and Kathryn and Danielle Fay. Cherished grandfather of Mackenzie and Carter. Brother of Felix Grusys (Irene), Mary Cropper (Simon), and John Grusys (Christine). Predeceased by his parents Frank and Anna Grusys, and his former wife Jill.

Victor will also be remembered and will be missed by his nieces and nephews Derek and Darren Grusys, Jennifer Woods (Troy), Megan Cropper, Eric and Peter Grusys, and his great-nieces Rachel and Katelyn Woods. Victor is also fondly remembered and will be missed by the Taillefer family and their friends in Sudbury, the Williamson and Lariviere families, as well as his friends in Wawa.

Friends may call at the Gilmartin Funeral Home, 140 Churchill Ave., Wawa, on Tuesday evening, January 20, 2009, from 7:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at St. Monica’s Church on Wednesday morning, January 21, 2009, at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Ron Henson officiating. Spring interment Woodland Cemetery, Wawa. For those who wish, the family would appreciate donations to the Royal Canadian Legion Br. #429 (Wawa) would be appreciated by the family.
