Hwy 17 CLOSED – Wawa to White River

OPP have closed Highway 17 from Wawa to White River. This means that residents from Dubreuilville cannot travel to Wawa or White River, although Highway 519 is still open.

 

There has not been a reason for the highway being closed.

 

A call to North Bay Communications Centre (6:13 a.m) explained that it looks like the highway closure is weather related, but expects that a press release regarding the highway closure will be issued once the Community Services Officer is on duty.

 

Radar imagery from Montreal River Harbour shows the area being blanketed with rain. It is currently raining/sleeting in Wawa with some wind.
