Morgandy Leadbetter, a graduate of École secondaire Saint-Joseph (Wawa), was recently crowned Miss North Ontario 2021. This contest, which this year brought together several participants from various Northern Ontario communities, aims to crown the young woman who best represents Northern Ontario based on her personality and community involvement.
Much appreciated for her active participation in the cultural activities as a student at École secondaire Saint-Joseph, Morgandy also stood out for her academic excellence and her active participation in numerous school and community humanitarian initiatives.
“Our school community is thrilled with her success knowing that Morgandy will do a great job representing the community of Wawa as well as Northern Ontario across the country as Miss Northern Ontario. Recognized for her many talents as well as her sense of initiative and entrepreneurship, she is always attentive to the needs of others. Morgandy has left her mark at École secondaire Saint-Joseph through her active participation in sports, cultural, humanitarian and extracurricular activities,” explained Mr. Michel Lavergne, Principal at ÉS Saint-Joseph.
