Nipigon OPP – Driver Charged with Stunt 150 in a 90 in Red Rock

On September 14, 2026, members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Nipigon Detachment charged a driver for stunt driving.

At approximately 7:00 pm, an officer was conducting LIDAR patrol on Highway 11-17 in the Township of Red Rock, ON. The officer observed a white car traveling at a high rate of speed. The Lidar confirmed the vehicle speed to be 150km/hr in the 90km/hr zone.

As a result, MD Sajjad KHAN age 25 of Toronto ON was issued a court summons for Stunt Driving, contrary to section 172(1) of the Highway Traffic Act. The driver received a 30 day driver’s license suspension and is scheduled to appear in Nipigon court in October 2026. The vehicle a 2012 Honda, was impounded for 14 days.

The OPP remains committed to taking aggressive drivers off our roads through enforcement and public education. If you suspect that someone is driving aggressively, it is important to call 9-1-1 to report it.
