East Algoma OPP – Trespassing Charges Laid under Mississsauga FN Community Protection Law

An individual has been charged under the Mississauga First Nation Community Protection Law following a trespassing investigation.

On Friday, August 21, 2026, at approximately 7:30 a.m., members of the East Algoma Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a trespassing complaint involving an individual residing at a residence on Village Road in the community of Mississauga First Nation.

As a result of the investigation, on Tuesday, August 26, 2026, at approximately 2:30 p.m., police located and arrested the individual on Causley Street in the Town of Blind River.

Ryan FREE, 54 years old, of Blind River, was charged under the Mississauga First Nation Community Protection Law section with:

• Trespassing

The accused appeared before the Ontario Court of Justice Bail Court in Blind River on August 26, 2026, in relation to outstanding arrest warrants and was remanded into custody.
