About Give A Honk:

  • Give A Honk is Petro-Canada’s national campaign to shine a spotlight on family caregivers, the more than eight million Canadians who provide care and support for loved ones in need.
  • The campaign supports the Petro-Canada CareMakers Foundation and the organizations that help family caregivers across the country

The Give A Honk’ campaign mascot, The Goose is back at Petro-Canada. Just like last year, the Goose is cheeky, confident, fiercely proud to be Canadian, and a natural family caregiver. The Goose is loyal, protective, and passionate about supporting family caregivers.

Petro-Canada chose Wawa, as the home of one of Canada’s most recognizable roadside landmarks for the launch of this national campaign to generate community excitement and drive awareness for family caregivers nationwide.

Petro-Canada partnered with the Municipality of Wawa and worked closely with Research Casting International, the company behind the Wawa Goose’s reconstruction in 2017, to bring this installation to life for the month of September.

Between September 1 and October 5, Canadians can visit Petro-Canada locations and and get their Goose Keychain and Petro-Canada will donate $3 to the CareMakers Foundation. Only $1 + applicable taxes with 25L fuel purchase, while supplies last.
