NE Forest Fire Region Update – August 21

One new wildland fire was confirmed in the Northeast Region today:

• Sudbury 62 (SUD062) is 2.5 hectares and located on the north side of Carafel Lake, approximately 1.9 kilometres west of Maskinonge Lake and 2 kilometres southeast of Rocky Lake. The fire is not under control.

There are currently 42 active wildland fires in the Northeast Region. Of these fires: 1 is not under control, 1 is being held, 1 is under control and 39 are being observed.
