  • Today is Groundhog Day – if Wiarton Willie sees his shadow we will see six weeks more of winter. With the forecast to be sunny – maybe winter will be a bit longer, although it hasn’t been that bad so far. This is the earliest year that Hogan’s Homestead is boiling maple sap for syrup.
  • Don’t forget to make your plans to attend Sunday’s Keys in Motion 2024 Winter Music Concert at the MMCC at 7 p.m.
  • The date for the Spring By Hands Festival has been set. Mark your calendar for Saturday, April 27, 2024 at the Michipicoten Community Centre from 11 am to 3 pm.
  • If you enjoy curling – Sault College will be hosting the Ontario Colleges Athletic Association (OCAA) Curling Championships from February 8-10, 2024, at the YNCU Curling Centre. There will be 15 teams from six schools participating across the men’s, women’s and mixed divisions.
