Other media is reporting that Missanabie Cree First Nation (MCFN), the only First Nation in Ontario has acquired a Rail Operating Certificate (ROC) from Transport Canada, placing it one step closer to reviving the passenger rail service between Sault Ste. Marie, Hawk Junction, and Hearst. Missanabie Cree First Nation has created a proposal to run the Mask-wa Oo-ta-ban [Cree for ‘bear train’], formerly known as the Algoma Passenger Train.
