At 5:03 this morning Environment continued the Winter Weather Travel Advisory for
- Agawa – Lake Superior Park
- Searchmont – Montreal River Harbour – Batchawana Bay
A brief but intense snowfall could continue to affect road conditions and visibilities this morning. Those traveling in the area are advised to be prepared for winter travel conditions. The flurries off Lake Superior are expected to weaken this morning.
At 5:30 this morning, Highway 17 from Wawa to Montreal River is partly snow covered with bare and wet road sections. From there into the Soo, the conditions change to partly snow covered with bare and wet road sections. They do state ‘poor visibility’.
