Kwiecien, Anna (nee Marczuk)

Died on Saturday, October 28, 2017, at the Southlake Regional Health Centre, Newmarket at the age of 94. Anna of Wasaga Beach, formerly of Wawa, beloved wife of the late Michael Kwiecien (1980). Loving mother of Vicki (Bill Whitlock) of Wasaga Beach, Mike (Donna) of Henderson, Nevada and the late Eddy (1981). Cherished Baba/Grandma of Kirk Whitlock and Robert and Elizabeth Kwiecien. “Hurricane Anna” was a hardworking and determined woman who was a talented chef. Her wedding cakes and her perogies were famous as was her sense of humour and her strong will. She will be missed.

Friends are invited to join Anna’s family for a Memorial Gathering at the Carruthers & Davidson Funeral Home – Wasaga Beach Chapel, 509 River Road West, Wasaga Beach on Wednesday, November 1, 2017, from 2 to 4 p.m.

A Memorial Service with interment at Woodland Cemetery, Wawa will be held in the spring of 2018.

In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Collingwood General & Marine Hospital Foundation or the charity of your choice would be appreciated by Anna’s family.

  2. Absolute brilliance, colour and vitality. A gift a mother gives her children. I know of her because her daughter was my grade 2 teacher and she was amazing.

  3. Anna was an absolutely beautiful woman! I will truly miss her.
    She was one of my favourite customers in the restaurant..every time someone orders a Reuben I think of her.
    Our deepest condolences to go out to family and friends. She left a lifetime of memories to all who knew her.
