Marine – Strong wind warning in effect. Wind south 20 knots veering to southwest 20 early this morning then to west 20 this afternoon. Wind veering to northwest 20 near midnight then diminishing to northeast 10 Saturday morning. Wind veering to southeast 10 near noon Saturday then increasing to east 15 Saturday evening. Waves one and one half metres building to 2 early this morning then subsiding to one half metre or less Saturday morning. Waves building to one Saturday evening.

News Tidbits – Today is Friday the 13th.

Charlie Brown fans will be saddened to hear that California’s deadly wildfires have burned the home of ‘Peanuts’ creator Charles Schulz. The Santa Rosa home, and all the memorabilia is gone, but most of Shulz’s original artwork is in the Charles M. Schulz Museum in Santa Rosa.

If you are considering a trip to the Soo, you may wish to go this weekend. The fall colours were quite pretty on Sunday, and should be coming close to peak now. If it is dreary, go anyhow. Sometimes the moody light can offer special views too.
