Wawa-news.com You can't hear the 'big picture'!
On Sunday, September 17, 2017, at approximately 12:45 am members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Superior East Wawa Detachment responded to a local Wawa address regarding an assault in progress. At the scene investigation revealed that a male had assaulted a female.
As a result a 45 year old Wawa. Ontario male was arrested and charged with the following offences:
- Adult Assault – Spousal contrary to section 266 of the Criminal Code of Canada,
- Adult Obstruct Peace Officer contrary to section 129(a) of the Criminal Code of Canada,
- Adult Causing a Disturbance contrary to section 175(1)(a) of the Criminal Code of Canada.
The accused was held into custody pending a bail hearing in Sault Ste. Marie Ontario on Monday September 18, 2017.
