Marine – Strong wind warning in effect.Wind light becoming south 10 knots this morning then increasing to south 15 this afternoon. Wind increasing to south 20 this evening and to southwest 30 near noon Saturday. Wind diminishing to southwest 15 Saturday evening. Waves one half metre building to one near midnight and to 2 Saturday afternoon.

News Tidbits – It is September 1st, and the Big Bear Inn in Hawk Junction has served it’s last meals. Yesterday, was their last day of business, meaning that the Big Bear and Teddy Bear Burgers are no more. Best wishes to Eddie and Holly in their retirement – we will miss your great food!

Today, Friday, September 1st you can enjoy a guided hike from 2 – 2:45 p.m. You will walk along the Agawa Bay beach discovering the story of Lake Superior’s formation, and it’s human story as well. You are asked to meet at the lakeside deck of the Agawa Bay Visitor Centre.
