Local – The first meeting to discuss the possible amalgamation of Sir James Dunn elementary public school into Michipicoten High School occurred last night – Wawa-news will have a report later this morning.

 

District – 80 camping sites on Ranger Lake, Lawrence Lake, Garden Lake and Tunnel Lake must be vacated by the end of May. The Ministry of Natural Resources & Forestry explain that the campers are no longer in compliance with provincial standards, and the land is to be returned to a natural state. Some of these campsites have been in use by families for up to 40 years.

There is a meeting is scheduled to take place in Sault Ste. Marie on March 3 to bring all parties together.
