HOLLA, Adrian “Andy”

Adrian (Andy) Holla, 54, passed away at his home on July 6, 2014.

Andy was the middle child to the late Doreen West and the late Antonius Holla. He is lovingly remembered by two sisters, Annette (Doug) and MaryAnn (Steven). In addition, two nieces, a great-niece, a great-nephew, cousins, co-workers, and friends.

Affectionately nicknamed Evel Knievel in his youth. His talent performing wheelies for an entire block long, all while changing gears. He was an avid car, motorcycle and snowmobile enthusiast. He was smart, building his first go-cart at age eight, he could fix most anything.  Although extremely shy, his friendliness and kindness to all people, and his devotion and love for all animals is a tribute to the beauty of his heart and soul. Philosopher, soul searcher, spirit for adventure, always seeking freedom: “don’t be trapped by dogma, living with the results of other people’s thinking”.

Andy took great pride in living a simple, humble life, as did his favorite authors Emerson and Thoreau. He had the courage to follow his greatest passion: embracing a lifelong love with the outdoors. The forest, lakes, animals, moon, and the stars. Andy’s quirky sense of humor and wonderful storytelling of his experiences with the moose, bears, wolves, otters, bobcats and ravens will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Your brilliance points to transcendence and whispers: you are free, you are joy, you are love, you are peaceful… pure positive energy.

A private ceremony has been held.
