WARDROP, Percival Cameron (Percy)

Passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, at the Lady Dunn Health Centre, Wawa, Ontario, on Monday, April 27, 2009. Percy was born in Whitemouth Manitoba on June 20, 1924. He was predeceased by his loving wife Joy Rosalie Wardrop on Sept. 17, 1990. Percy was the loving father of Sylvia and her husband Harold of Terrace Bay, Cameron Wardrop of Echo Bay, Barry Wardrop and his wife Dee of Trinity, Florida and Shayne Wardrop of Wawa. Much loved grandfather of five grandchildren and three great grandchildren who will miss him dearly. Percy was the eldest brother of nine. He leaves behind sisters Luella Campbell, Bertha Johnson, Patricia Kien and brothers Arthur, William and Melvin Wardrop. He was predeceased, by his brother John Wardrop and sister Thelva Miller.

Friends may call at the Gilmartin Funeral Home, Wawa, on Friday, May 1, 2009 from 7- 9 p.m..

A Service in Celebration of Percy’s life, will be held Saturday, May 2, 2009 at the First United Church at 11 a.m. with the Reverend Bonnie Rayner officiating. Interment Woodland Cemetery.

Memorial donations to the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 429, the Alzheimer’s Society or a Charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
