Members of the Nipigon Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have arrested and charged two individuals with impaired operation following a traffic complaint.
On October 3rd, 2026, shortly after 5:00 p.m., members of the Nipigon OPP Detachment responded to a traffic complaint for a possible impaired driver outside a local business in the Township of Nipigon. The suspect vehicle a black Chrysler 300 was located parked outside of the business.
Through investigation, it was determined that the drivers had switched seats and both were believed to be under the influence of alcohol. Both males were subsequently placed under arrest and transported to the Nipigon Detachment for further testing.
As a result, both Vipanpreet SINGH, 19-years and Gurditta SINGH, 31-years of Alberta have been arrested and charged under the Criminal Code with:
- Operation While Impaired – Alcohol and Drugs
Both accused were released from custody and are scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice on a future court date.
