News Tidbits:

  • The Fellow in Yellow, Trevor Redmond is passing through our area. He was in Wawa on Saturday. He bagan his trip across Canada on March 26, 2024 from Halifax to British Columbia (completed run last winter) and is currently running back east. His two previous journeys across country were walking and then biking. His message is “The best medicine to include in preventing and overcoming health trauma is exercise through mobility.” Trevor is doing the run on the road on his own (no support vehicle!) and would appreciate any assistance as he travels through our area.
  • Brent Rouble of SSM won the Algoma Farmers’ Market annual Pumpkin Weigh-Off for the fourth consecutive year with a 443-pound pumpkin. Kieran O’Neill  took second with a 265-pound pumpkin. Jonathon Reinke nabbed third and fourth places with 182-pound and 172-pound pumpkins and Dannica Switzer was fifth place with a 169-pound entry.
