BREZENSKI, Ken

In loving memory of Ken Brezenski 71 years. Passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 22nd, 2026, surrounded by family overlooking the lake at the Maison McCulloch Hospice.

Beloved husband of 40 years to Luanne Brezenski (nee O’Bumsawin). Loving father of Clayton Brezenski and Crystal Hennessey (Norm). Cherished grandfather of Summer, Brooklyn, Nico, Bree-Anna, and Bryce. Predeceased by his parents Felix Brezenski and Frances Mask. He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his sister of Rose Recoskie (Leonard predeceased), brother-in-law Myles O’Bumsawin (Cindy), and nephews Ryan O’Bumsawin and Rick Recoskie.

Ken was very proud of his career as a Machinist/Millwright and a Maintenance Supervisor at Kidd Creek for many years where he met Luanne and fell in love. They were together 24/7 for 40 wonderful years. After their career at Kidd, they purchased their next career Outfitters in Wawa for 20 years. Camp Michi-Wawa was a special time of his life where his son Clay and adopted son Derrick Lee played a big role in their success. Crystal had moved onto Edmonton during those days, but her heart was always Camp Michi-Wawa with dad. The wonderful friends were made while living their dream was something that they treasured. Ken became ill in 2012 when he was diagnosed with untreatable Lyme Disease and suffered for many years with the co-infections and mimicked diseases associated with Lyme Disease and was recently diagnosed with 4th stage cancer. Ken also belonged to a life-long unique Brotherhood “The Schumacher Boys” who have met every September long weekend for 46 consecutive years.

There will be no visitation or service. Cremation at the Park Lawn Crematorium. Donations to the Lyme Disease Research (Northern Ontario) would be appreciated.
