News Tidbits:

• The Canadian government has announced an investment of nearly $19 million for StormFisher Environmental Ltd., (General Upcycle subsidiary), to expand the London Digester in London. The London Digester, is the largest food waste anaerobic digestion facility in Canada that produces renewable natural gas (RNG) from municipal source-separated organics and industrial, commercial, institutional food and beverage waste. Once complete in 2027, the upgraded facility will have the capacity to produce an additional 450,000 gigajoules (GJ) of RNG – enough to power approximately 4,500 homes annually – and 86,000 additional tonnes of nutrient-rich organic fertilizer each year.
• VIVID Art Fest, a four-day celebration of arts, culture, and creativity taking place throughout Sault Ste. Marie from Sept. 17 to 20, will feature Canadian pop-rock artist Fefe Dobson  on Friday, Sept. 18 at the Roberta Bondar Pavilion. Ppening performances will be Toronto-based rock band Goodnight Sunrise and Silent Nin9 from SSM.
