The Wawa Goose Club had their annual Daffodil Tea & Bake Sale on Friday, April 1st. All the proceeds of nearly $600.00 were presented to the Canadian Cancer Society, Algoma Unit, Wawa Branch at the close of the tea.
The door prize, a floral display donated by Broadway Flowers, was won by Doreen Sabourin. The cake, made by Lello Sanchioni, was won by Nan Anderson (pic shows Nan with Joe Couture). Congratulations to the winners!
We also want to thank both Sears and Rainbow Gifts for blowing up the balloons which decorated the club. It was a wonderful spring afternoon. The baking was wonderful, and the cake served with our tea/coffee was absolutely delicious. The club must be commended on organizing such a successful event again this year. They have had lots of practice over the years, and it showed in their organization.
Daffodil sales are continuing this week. They are available at the Fenlon’s Pharmacy, and Sears. We will also be at Haman’s and the Post Office during the week. We want to thank everyone for their support. And we hope that you will continue your support as our canvassers knock on your door during our month-long residential campaign. Please phone 856-4879 for any further information.
