Marine Weather – Wind west 10 knots increasing to north 15 this morning then veering to northeast 15 near midnight. Wind veering to east 15 Saturday morning then diminishing to southeast 10 near noon Saturday. Waves one half metre building to one half to one metre near noon then subsiding to less than one half metre Saturday afternoon.

News Tidbits – Catch the Ace wasn’t caught last night in the Soo. The evening’s jackpot of $51,279.00 was won by Nancy Slater and Chris Hopf. There are only four envelopes left, and one of them holds that Ace of Spades that everyone is hoping to draw to win the Progressive Jackpot of $447,607.50. The George Wellington Esquire Club on Second Line is holding the draw, and has raised just over $750,000.00 for Sault Ste. Marie charities.
