Hwy 101 CLOSED (Chapleau to Hwy 144)

At 9:21 a.m. Superior East (Chapleau) Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police advise of the following Road Closure:

Highway: Highway 101

Location: between Chapleau and Timmins

As a result of a motor vehicle collision and due to road and weather conditions.  Hwy has been closed.

The Superior East Chapleau Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) advises that Highway 101 is closed from Chapleau to Foleyet while they investigate multiple motor vehicle collisions due to deteriorating road and weather conditions.

OPP advises motorists to exercise caution as driving conditions are hazardous at this time, so please stay off the roads unless emergent travel is required.

The O.P.P. will distribute details and updates of the road advisory as information becomes available.
