• Congratulations to Yasmeen Almukamis of Cambridge who won $2.43 MILLION in Thunder Bay’s September’s 50/50! During the “now-famous” 11:00 Grand Prize winner call, Yasmeen shared that she had been recently laid-off from her job, and that the news couldn’t have come at a better time. As a long-time supporter of the Thunder Bay 50/50, she picked up on the very first ring right at 11:00, and definitely had an “inkling” of what the call was all about. “My heart is palpitating, I’m here with my mother and she told me to make sure it wasn’t a scam” said Yasmeen, “I’m so grateful for this win, but I’m also happy that this all goes to such a great cause, I couldn’t think of a better organization to support.”
