Northeast Forest Fire Region Update:

• There are 12 active wildland fires in the Northeast Region: 2 are under control and 10 are being observed. The fire hazard is low to high across the Northeast Region. There is a large area with high hazard from Sault Ste. Marie to Mattice and north to the Attawapiskat River and three smaller areas with high hazard over Elliot Lake, Blind River, Halfway Lake, Greater Sudbury and Gogama.
