Weather – Mainly sunny. Fog patches dissipating this morning. Wind becoming southwest 20 km/h gusting to 40 this afternoon. High 14. UV index 3 or moderate.

Marine – Strong wind warning in effect. Wind northwest 10 knots backing to southwest 10 near noon then increasing to southeast 15 near midnight. Wind increasing to south 20 Saturday morning and to south 30 near noon Saturday. Wind veering to west 30 Saturday evening.

Rain beginning overnight.

News Tidbits – The Supreme Court will make the decision on whether the  testimonies by 80,000 Indigenous residential school survivors should be preserved or destroyed. Many said that they would share their traumatic history only after being reassured that their testimony would be destroyed.
