Ground Search for Myla this afternoon at Ski Hill – UPDATE

Dec 8, 2016

On Thursday, December 8th, Myla was found (photo at right).

A ground search has been organized today at 3 pm at Mount Wawa Ski Hill and to help with a ground search for James Smedley’s Dog Myla. Myla has been missing since she ran off after a rabbit Saturday, November 26th, and has not been seen since. Organizer Richard Watson said, “The dog had a leash on and might be snagged on a stump, etc. It’s a long shot but at least let’s try!”. Participants are asked to wear their hunter orange.

UPDATE from family this morning: “Because she was dragging her leash we were able to identify her tracks last Sunday. She went over ski hill mountain to the power line the all through the trails by the Mission. Back and forth. But she must have crossed the bridge over Wawa creek at the Mission cause there was a single track up the ski-doo trail to Provost pit 9 then to the road to mission across from Oski-Wawa campground. Don’t know where she went from there. We’ve been all over the Mission and haven’t seen or heard anything.”
